About me

Hello and welcome!

I’m currently going through IVF on the NHS here in London. Like many people, I had no idea how complex, emotional, and overwhelming fertility treatment could be -until I found myself right in the middle of it. Navigating GP referrals, fertility tests, waiting lists, medications, and life altering decisions I never imagined I’d have to make.

Since starting, I’ve been through more than I ever expected. I’ve had a cycle cancelled because my eggs didn’t develop. I’ve watched 12 eggs result in just one embryo. I’ve experienced OHSS, endured physical pain, and carried the invisible weight of stress, fear, and disappointment - wondering if it would ever work out.

This blog is the guide I wish I’d had when I first began my IVF journey. I created it to offer real, relatable, UK-specific support - the kind of resource I was desperately searching for but struggled to find. Because when you're thrown into the world of infertility, you quickly realise how confusing and isolating it can be.

Over the past year, I’ve done a huge amount of research - not just into the NHS IVF pathway, but also into private clinics, protocols, success rates, costs, medications, and emotional wellbeing. I wanted to understand my options clearly, and I know how overwhelming that process can be when you're trying to hold it all together on your own.

This isn’t just a collection of articles - it’s a deeply personal project. IVF isn’t just about science and timing. It’s about your body, your future, your relationships, your identity, and your mental health. It’s about hope, heartbreak, resilience, and showing up again when you feel like giving up.

Whether you're just beginning to ask questions, preparing for your first round, or figuring out what comes next after setbacks, I hope this blog helps you feel a little more empowered, a little more informed, and a lot less alone.

Thank you for being here. You’re not alone - and you’re stronger than you think.
